All the iPhone GPS applications available in the App Store share some common features such as turn by turn with voice notification, find a place by address, or search by name. However, some GPS applications has more features than others.

I'm waiting for two things

1) The mythical cell phone navigation app people constantly refer to (not by name) that does NOT cost $10/month.

2) Some fact checking on the title of press releases. Hey, I can send out a press release claiming to be the president of the United States. It would be no more the truth than AT&T Navigator being the first GPS iPhone app.

The fact that the fee will inevitably mount up over time to well over $100 is the problem, which is the cost of the other GPS apps like tomtom where you can also store the maps on your phone
